Color Palette Champions

The thought of working with color would always throw me into a bought of procrastination. I’d like to blame it on my high school’s lack of a competent arts program but in reality, it’s most likely my own... stubbornness. Putting that in the past, I tried to break out of my fear by forcing myself to use a small, set-in-stone, color palette that would take away decision fatigue. I mixed this with another skill I needed (still need) to work on: silhouettes.

Thus, the Color Palette Champions were born; quick studies of color, silhouette, and personality. I chose a lineless style that would allow me to work faster and practice making quicker decisions with my shapes. I imagine all these champions exist within the same world; in a fighting game like Tekken or a cartoon about a distant land filled with personalities as colorful as the characters are.
